The Price is Right!

Television's longest-running game show! Yesterday I brought my sister to the price is right! I remember those lunch hours where we would sit together for an hour and get excited with the contestants.

I never thought the day would come where we would ACTUALLY be sitting in the audience.

Unfortunately we didn't get called up but we had an amazing time.

Oh and that funny looking guy, took this picture of himself with my phone right after he took a picture of us. He ended up winning the whole showcase. lol

Joan's on third

Joan’s on Third is a family owned and operated Gourmet Marketplace, Café and Full Service Catering and Event Planning Company.

Joan, originally from New York, spent years in the kitchen working with Dione Lucas. She ran Lucas’s cooking school as well as owning her own restaurant in Manhattan, before coming out west to raise a family. Joan’s on Third first opened its doors in 1995 as a catering company.

Simon Perry

Simon Perry was born in Manchester England. He moved to

London at age 18 to become a photography assistant during which time he had the honor of working for such photographers as Patrick Demarchellier, Mert and Marcus and David Lachapelle.

Simon spent three years assistning Mario Testino during which time he travelled the globe working for some of the worlds most important fashion clients. simon now resides in Los Angeles where he has worked for such clients as, Charles David, GQ, Tom FOrd Vanity Fair and Vogue.

A beautiful day in California brought me to do some shopping at THE GROVE with the big sister.

As we made our way to Gilmore Ln, to our left at the coffee bean was a beautiful white dog. Talk about getting spotted, this dog was getting so much attention from the ladies. Never have I ever seen something so crazy.

America's Got Talent

America's Got Talent is a British-owned American reality television series on the NBC television network.

We've all heard of it, at-least I hope you have.

On friday night my Roommate had a little surprise for us. TICKETS to the America's got talent show Saturday night!

Here's what happened...

We walk into the Orpheum Center in downtown Los Angeles, this lovely women directs us to the bottom floor of the auditorium. Im thinking that we will be seated in the back. NO!! this gentlemen sits us in the front row seat!!!! right next to the judges!!!! Can you believe it! This Saturday could not get any better!

I got to meet Sharon Osbourne, Howie, Pierce, Nick and a lovable gentlemen from the show street smarts!

The show will air June 1, 2010 (Apparently we are seen threw the entire show)

Surf

I never thought I would ever learn and even enjoy surfing for real.  It looks so difficult and something I would never get the chance to try in my life.  But I guess the cliche is true never say never.

This Saturday was one of my best beach trips ever.  Thanks to Emma of the UOD for organizing a surfing event!

We left La Brea at past 8:45 am and took the bus down to Santa Monica beach.  After a long and smelly bus ride we finally made it the the beach. Such a beautiful beach!!  Simply breathtaking.

  We were divided into four batches, everyone had their instructor! 

Let me tell you learning how to surf is really fun! Paddle and POP

As the instructors were looking to see how we paddle and POP my SUPER instructor decided that he would use ME as the demo for everyone! Here is what I thought. ' Oh, okay sure let me just move my board around and I guess he wants me to demonstrate" NO I COULDN'T BE MORE WRONG. The instructor run's off with my board into the freezing cold water and starts calling my name 'JESSY COME ON"

Im thinking at this point ARE YOU KDDING ME

So I walk to the water dip my little toe in and look back to the group "its freezing" hehe. I jump on the board go out into the ocean and start paddling.

On my first try, I successfully made it up on my board! I was so happy! I didnt stay on for to long, but I had a really big smile on my face when i came back up from underneath the water!

The Price of Beauty

Jessica Simpson is returning to reality TV! Next year, she’ll be hitting VH1 to explore what constitutes true beauty. When Jessica Simpson was lambasted by the tabloids last year for an apparent weight gain, her dad,Joe Simpson, wanted to go on the offensive.

Jessica, however, had other plans.

Simpson, with her two best friends, Ken Paves and CaCee Cobb, instead set off around the world, to meet everyday women and examine their views, traditions and practices of beauty. Their experiences in Japan, Thailand, France, Brazil, Uganda, Morocco and India will air as VH1's series "The Price of Beauty," launching March 15 at 10 p.m.

Jessica has also seen a change within herself as a result of her travels.

"Outward beauty is an easy thing to become obsessed with in our society," she said. "I haven't always had an inner confidence. I haven't always looked at my reflection and loved it, because there was always something I wanted to fix, because someone always looked better. This journey was about finding something that was beautiful inside of me and knowing that I own it. And it's unique and rare."
